Meet the owners!

Suzanne Egeln – Publisher

Growing up as a Navy brat, Suzanne lived her youth coast to coast from southern Maryland to southern California. She finished high school at Fountain Valley High in Orange County (CA), then graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a degree in Radio and TV Communications. Returning to the east coast, her first job after college was on Capitol Hill, serving as an aide to a congressman from southern California. While working in Washington, DC, Suzanne became an original member of the political satire group, The Capitol Steps. She then moved to Annapolis, MD and joined the staff of a civilian contractor, producing sports and educational content for the U.S. Naval Academy. It was there where she met her future husband, Anthony. Suzanne became a Navy wife, and then a preschool teacher as her children became school aged. After moving to Florida, Suzanne returned to school to prepare herself for the Florida teacher certification program, and earned her certification as a K-6 teacher.

Anthony Egeln – Business Manager

With salt water running through his veins, Anthony grew up at the Jersey shore (no……not that "Jersey Shore", the real one!). He went to Wall Township High School (Monmouth County), and then graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Business Administration. After graduation, Anthony ran his own Shopper's Guide in Atlantic County (NJ) for a while, but his love for publishing had to wait. He then attended Navy Aviation Officer's Candidate School, and trained to become a Naval Flight Officer. After retiring from the Navy, Anthony built a second career as an investment representative for the brokerage firm, Edward Jones. After retiring to Florida, he returned to his first love of publishing, and with wife, Suzanne, started up The St. Augustine Woman's Journal.

Suzanne and Anthony have three children; Anna (27), Margaret (23) and Anthony Jr. (21).
