That Social Media Thing!

Newborn Sessions! If we are running a promotion we will post something like this.

As a photographer, I have found myself helping a lot of my business clients with Social Media. The reason is that photos are a strong connection for people and say a lot more than words sometimes. If you are a business owner it is in your best interest to post photos about yourself and what you are doing within your business. For example, if you own a restaurant and one of your specialties is southern style shrimp (I just made that up...I don't know if there is such a thing), then you will want to post photos of some of your customers or friends eating at your restaurant enjoying the shrimp. Make sure that they are having a great time and also be sure to have their permission to post. If you are posting things like this consistently then you will get a good following of people who will enjoy seeing what you are doing. The big hope is that will transition over from viewing to experiencing.

If you are wondering about where to start with Social Media the obvious one is Facebook. Other ones that should fall in behind this are Google Plus, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumbler, YouTube, and now we have the crazy Snapchat which is a video based platform which is being used more and more for business! Videos and photos are voice in today's media and if you are not marketing this way then you are missing out on customers. You can type all of the words that you want but you will probably reach more people when photos are involved! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are stuck in the struggling with your mobile and social media presence. I am happy to answer questions that you may have.

This one was taken with a phone camera and posted immediately. Relevance is important. "Happening NOW"!

I am going to share some of the photos that I have used on my social sites to give you an idea of what type of photos can be used.
