Communications Coordinator – Lightner Museum

Jennifer Jordan fell in love instantly with Saint Augustine after she moved here from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where she worked for the State House and Senate as a staff communications specialist. Her love of art, culture, and history along with her skills in communications, graphic design, and photography made her a natural fit for the Lightner Museum. Jennifer started as a volunteer at the Lightner before moving on to volunteer coordinator and now communications coordinator.

The Lightner Museum – originally the Hotel Alcazar built in 1888 by Henry Flagler – is one of the Oldest City's historical jewels. It's on the National Register of Historic Places and houses an amazing collection of fine and decorative arts form the Victorian – with eclectic items ranging from a dinosaur egg to a mummy head.

Working amongst these rarities Jennifer was inspired to bring the Dressing Downton™ Exhibition that has taken the nation by storm from its 2015 start at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville North Carolina. Jennifer's persistence and energy made that vision a reality, and now the Lightner Museum is set to be the last stop for Dressing Downton® beginning October 2017 through January 2018 with Jennifer as Exhibition Manager.

Dressing Downton: – Changing Fashion for Changing Times™ – highlights fashion from one of the most widely watched television dramas in the World, Downton Abbey®. Don't miss its grand finale at the Lightner Museum in Saint Augustine and don't forget to thank Jennifer Jordan, another Saint Augustine resident that helps make this town the most unique and diverse beach community on the Eastern Seaboard.
