Gemma Smith, Jr. ROWITA Fellowships Recipient

Gemma Smith recently graduated from St. Augustine High School. She has studied musical theatre, chorus, and dance for most of her life. Some of her past roles include Maria in West Side Story, Hope Cladwell in Urinetown, Rosemary in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and Nina in In the Heights. Most recently, she was seen as Elle Woods in SJCCA's Legally Blonde. She enjoys singing, dancing, and acting because it allows her to stay focused and driven while showing people, especially young women and girls, that anything is achievable with determination. Gemma will be continuing her musical theatre training at Florida School of the Arts this fall. Gemma received a Jr. ROWITA Fellowship in the amount of $1000 to support her continuing education in the arts.
