Flagler Hospital has partnered with Cancer Specialists of North Florida to establish a new radiation oncology center on campus, which is expected to open in December of 2017. Construction is underway, adjacent to the Flagler Imaging Center.

"It is important to ensure a seamless, top quality experience for all the patients in our cancer program," said Flagler Hospital President and CEO, Joe Gordy. "This new center will allow us to deliver the latest and best in radiation treatment, supported by inter-professional expertise, education and patient navigation provided through our nationally accredited cancer institute."

The center will feature Elekta's Versa HD, which delivers the full spectrum of conventional radiotherapy techniques and also advances modern cancer care with the added versatility to deliver linear accelerator-based stereotactic treatments – all within a single system. Keeping the comfort of patients in mind, the Versa HD is also designed with ergonomic features, softer streamlined shapes, low mechanical noise and ambient lighting effects.
