Fall into Fall

"One man's clutter is another man's treasure", especially when we have been hit more that once with a major hurricane. Not only can you pare down the closet, linens and kitchen items, don't forget about those toiletries that you picked up on your last trip. While it doesn't feel like "fall" yet in northeast Florida, paying it forward and de-cluttering before spring will give you and your family extra time to enjoy our many beaches and state parks.

As we recover from the storm remember to support our local businesses including farmer's markets, restaurants, theatres and festivals. Plan a St. Augustine stay-cation and enjoy the festivities of the holiday lights.

Finally, as we close 2017 please remember it's not always about being able to make a monetary donation. As you review how you spent your "time" in 2017, I invite you and challenge you to find time to volunteer for a cause in St. Johns County. Whether your passion is literacy, the arts, supporting a homeless shelter or a church, we can all make a difference.

As always we invite you to enjoy the articles enclosed in these pages and to support our Contributors. We welcome your suggestions for new Contributors and recommendations for our Women In Profile feature.

We are especially looking to add Contributors in the Home Improvement area: Electrical, Plumbing, Roofing, Painting, Landscaping and other building contractors.

"To your good health and safe travels".
